Job Description:
Biomed Behavioral Healthcare, PC is a leader in providing professional, competent and compassionate services to help chemically dependent individuals with co-occurring disorders related to behavioral health attain and maintain their highest possible functioning capacity.
Started in 1999, the vision of the program is to provide innovative, comprehensive services that promote maximum patient rehabilitation resulting in them being productive members of the community capable of managing their lives in a positive manner.
Biomed is a privately held company with a workforce of approximately 70 people operating in two locations.
We continue to make significant investment in the future of our patients and company and we would like you to be a key player as we continue to expand in support of our communities.
We are looking for a talented Medical Assistant to be part of our team that will collectively work to accomplish both current and future patient and company objectives.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Measure and record patient vital signs to include blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight, height in patient chart Draw blood work on patients as required Administer injections as required Coordinate urine sample process Assist with filing medical records Insure appropriate medical supply inventory Maintain accurate record keeping of all blood and urine specimens Assist with answering phones and scheduling appointments as needed Pull discharged patient charts when required.
Put intake packages together Order supplies utilizing appropriate carriers as needed Cross-train and assist with receptionist duties as necessary Other duties as assigned Job Requirements:

30 pm High School Diploma or equivalent Diploma from a Medical Assistant training program Medical Assistant Certification a plus Must have Phlebotomist training/experience One or more years medical assistant experience preferred Knowledge of universal precautions Punctuality/Reliability High level attention to detail Effective interpersonal and written communication skills required Customer focused; courteous/pleasant manner Maintain a clean/sanitized work station Ability to work independently and in collaboration with physicians as required.
