is looking for a motivated shipping & receiving person to handle packaging and shipping in our Chesterfield warehouse.
Our Shipping & Receiving position requires ability to work independently, be detail orientated, dependable and have experience in verifying and keeping records on shipments.
This position is an integral part of Turri's goal of shipping and receiving safe quality food.
Shipping and Receiving
Responsibilities:
Operate Hi-lo/Rider Pallet Jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
Operate handheld device for scanning loads and transfer of product between plants.
Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures.
Communicate effectively with department, plant and company personnel to ensure smooth operation of the process.
Document temperatures of incoming goods.
Also, monitor temperature of refrigerator and freezer.
Know how to store and stack product in the freezers and racking systems.
Know how to pull product (raw or frozen) by FIFO.
Responsible for packaging and sending out product samples.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
General knowledge of computer and scanning systems/invoicing Job Type:
