Job Description:
DURA's Roseville facility, Global Rollforming Systems, a leading manufacturer of quality automotive parts, has an immediate opening for an experienced Machine Repair / Maintenance position. The candidate must have the ability to read basic blue prints, read simple electrical diagrams and schematics. Other required skills include understanding fluid power dynamics, principles of lubrication, basic plumbing, welding technology and pneumatic controls. The ideal candidate has thorough understanding of machine capability and must have or be able to obtain a Powered Industrial License in all necessary equipment to perform job duties. This position requires long hours of standing and walking as well as lifting up to 60 pounds.

Some of the job responsibilities of the machine repair / maintenance position are but not limited to the following:
Performs cleaning, lubricating, and greasing of machinery according to the prescribed schedule of preventive maintenance.
Performs welding by use of various methods knowing when each method is most appropriate for the particular job.
Uses hand tools and operates various types of equipment to perform setup and take down of equipment (hi-lo, cranes, hoists, etc)
Fabricates repair parts by using company equipment such as drills, lathes, mills, pipe bending equipment, welders, cutting torches, wrenches, and other hand and machine tools.
Completes maintenance logs and other schedules as required.
When necessary and at managers discretion completes odd fix-it jobs for facilities maintenance.
When problems arise, the machine repairman takes the initiative to find solutions quickly using and organized method for troubleshooting.
Demonstrates good work planning practices to complete jobs in a very timely, efficient, and safe manner.
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to read basic blue prints, read simple electrical diagrams and schematics
2. Must understand fluid power dynamics, principles of lubrication, basic plumbing, welding technology and pneumatic controls
3. Must have machine capability and knowledge
4. Must have or be able to obtain a Powered Industrial License in all necessary equipment to perform job duties
5. Self-motivated
6. Promote continuous improvement effort
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office
8. Six Sigma experience
9. Prior Automotive Tier I/II experience is considered an asset
10. Ability to work in a team environment
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills
STANDARD
Qualifications:
Education - High school diploma or equivalent
Experience - Minimum level of experience is eight (8) years of experience in this trade. Someone with certifications in any one of a number of technical trades such as hydraulics and machine repair is preferred. Additional education may be substituted for experience and vice versa.
